Product Care

I like clear penetrating oil finishes that don't cover up the natural beauty of the wood, but bring out its unique character. Primarily, I use an allergen-free, non-toxic and food safe walnut oil (NOT cooking oil). This finish is user-friendly, long lasting and easy to re-apply. 

 

After use, wash your bowl or platter with soap and water and dry immediately. Do not submerge your wood products in water and never put them in the dishwasher, oven or microwave. Occasionally, walnut oil should be reapplied to rejuvenate your wood product and restore the finish. If you prefer to have it lightly sanded and refinished by me, that option is available to you as well (please see the shop page for details).

 

One of the beauties of wood is the fact it can be maintained for a lifetime. If your product gets scratched or nicked, it can be easily repaired so that you can enjoy it for generations to come.
